a- Knowledge and Understanding:
After successful completion of the course the students should be able to:
a.1 Stat the surgical anatomy of the fore and hind limbs in large animals.
a.2 Recognize the traumatic, pathological and neurological causes that could induce locomotor disturbances.
a.3 Identify the symptoms of many different conditions that causing locomotor disturbances.
a.4 Describe the surgical procedures for correction of the locomotor disturbances.
b- Intellectual Skills:
After successful completion of the course the students should be able to:
b.1 Determine the suitable diagnostic tool to reach a correct diagnosis.
b.2 Decide how to performing diagnosis and differential diagnosis for the affected cases.
b.3 Assess the suitable medicinal and/or surgical treatment for such case.
b.4 Evaluate the surgical affections of the claw that have an economic importance.
c- Professional and Practical Skills:
After successful completion of the course the students should be able to:
c.1 Diagnose lameness and detect the site of lameness.
c.2 Perform some orthopedic techniques.
c.3 Refer and assist in advanced surgical conditions.
c.4 Manage the surgical cases after operation.

After successful completion of the course the students should be able to:
d.1 Solve problems associated with pet animal diseases.
d.2 Communicate with other colleagues for reaching diagnosis.
d.3 Cooperate with other veterinary hospitals, clinics and units in the field of pet animal practice.
